On July 27, 2013, Monthly Comic Alive revealed that the popular light novel series "No Game No Life" would be receiving an anime adaptation. The adaptation was officially greenlit, and production began shortly after.

Synopsis

The story of "No Game No Life" revolves around two withdrawn step-siblings, Sora and Shiro, who are known in the virtual gaming world for their unparalleled skills. When they are challenged to a game of chess by a mysterious stranger, they find themselves transported to Disboard, a world where all disputes are settled through games.

In Disboard, Sora and Shiro must use their intelligence and strategic abilities to navigate a series of dangerous games, facing increasingly powerful opponents. Their goal is to reach the top of the world rankings and challenge Tet, the enigmatic deity who rules Disboard.
